SONiC Support, Reinvented. Answers First. Escalation When It Counts.
The expertise exists. Reaching it was the bottleneck.
Every SONiC question has the same price today: an engineer's time, yours while you dig through logs, or a vendor's while your ticket waits. SONiC AI Assistant changes that. It's a cloud service grounded in Aviz's own SONiC support cases, deployment experience, and source-level knowledge, ask a config, CLI, feature, or troubleshooting question and get an expert answer immediately, reasoning included.
You decide when to talk to a live Aviz SONiC expert, already briefed on everything you've tried. Works across Community SONiC and Broadcom Enterprise SONiC, on any qualified switch, from any vendor.
Built on the Aviz Autonomous Agentic Platform, the same foundation behind Network Copilot, Best in Show at ONUG AI Networking Summit, Fall 2025. Same grounded reasoning, same governance, specialized for SONiC. Explore the AI Platform →
Built for three audiences
From day-one operators to switch OEMs standing up a SONiC support layer.
SONiC Operators
Run open networking in production and want expert help on demand, not a ticket queue between you and an answer at 2 a.m.
NOS Evaluators
Asking "is SONiC ready for my use case?", need straight answers on features, limitations, and migration paths from a source that’s actually deployed it.
Switch OEMs & Partners
Ship or resell SONiC-based platforms and want an AI-first support layer behind your own brand, without building a SONiC support org from scratch.
The fast path is the default. The human path is one click away.
How It Works
Connect
Your private Aviz cloud account. Zero setup, ask general SONiC questions from day one.
Get grounded answers
Reasoned over Aviz’s SONiC knowledge. Add your own context to get answers specific to your switches and version.
Escalate in one click
A live Aviz SONiC engineer picks up with your full conversation, symptoms, evidence, what’s ruled out. You never re-explain.
The Linux of networking deserves better than a ticket queue.
SONiC's biggest adoption barrier was never the technology, it's the confidence to run it without a bench of in-house experts. SONiC AI Assistant puts that expertise one question away: instant answers for the 3 a.m. log dive, a briefed human for the problems that earn one.
Built around the questions SONiC teams actually ask
In early access today, every capability below is part of the launch design.
Cloud Service
No appliance, no install, no upgrade cycle. Sign up, connect, ask, operated by Aviz and kept current with the SONiC ecosystem.
SONiC-Specialized
Not a chatbot pointed at docs. Grounded in Aviz’s support cases, deployment history, and source-level knowledge, Aviz’s own support team are its first users.
Grounded in Your Network
Add your topology, configs, and live state to the prompt. "Will this work?" becomes "will this work on your switches, on your version."
Config, CLI & Feature
Ask how to configure it, why the CLI says that, or whether a feature exists on your platform, answered against your actual deployment.
Alarm & Log Triage
Paste the alarm or point at the logs. Reads counters and events, narrows the cause, points to the likely fix, before a ticket opens.
Protocol Checks
BGP sessions, EVPN state, VLAN and interface consistency, verified on request, with the evidence explained.
Upgrade & RMA Prep
Pre-flight checks before production: version compatibility, config validation, and diagnostic collection for a complete RMA case first time.
Talk to a Human
A guaranteed path to a live Aviz SONiC expert, one click away, with the AI’s full working context handed over.
Multi-Tenant & Role-Scoped
Organization-scoped isolation and role-based access, teams and customers each see only their own environment.
How teams ask it
Real jobs, real prompts, the shape of questions SONiC AI Assistant is built to answer.
| Job | Ask it… |
|---|---|
| Config Q&A | “Show me the right way to configure BGP unnumbered on this platform and version.” |
| CLI behavior | “Why does show interface counters report drops here but the platform counters don’t?” |
| Feature readiness | “Does my SONiC version support EVPN multihoming on this switch?” |
| Alarm triage | “This alarm fired on two leaf switches overnight, what’s the likely cause?” |
| Protocol check | “Verify BGP and EVPN health across my fabric and flag anything inconsistent.” |
| Upgrade prep | “What should I check before upgrading this pair, and what will break?” |
| RMA prep | “Collect the diagnostics a support case for this failed unit will need.” |

Common questions
The questions early-access customers and SONiC evaluators ask most often.
Which SONiC distributions does it cover?
Community SONiC and Broadcom Enterprise SONiC, on qualified switches from any vendor. The qualified-platform list publishes with launch documentation.
How are answers grounded, where does the knowledge come from?
Two layers: Aviz’s SONiC knowledge base (support cases, deployment experience, source-level engineering) and your own network context, added to the prompt, so answers become specific to your environment.
What happens to my network data?
The service is engineered with organization-scoped isolation and role-based access, your data answers your questions, scoped to your tenant. Full data-handling documentation publishes with launch docs; early-access participants receive it first.
What if the AI can’t answer my question?
One click escalates to a live Aviz SONiC expert, arriving already briefed with your full conversation context. Human escalation is part of the service design, not an upsell.
What will it cost?
Aviz doesn’t publish pricing. Packaging and pricing are shared directly through the early-access program, participants see them first and help shape them.
When does it launch?
Coming soon, in early access now. Join the early-access list and we’ll keep you informed, with the earliest possible seat.
Do I have to connect my network to get value?
No. General SONiC questions work with zero setup. Connecting through the Aviz ONES agent upgrades answers from expert-general to specific-to-your-fabric, whenever you’re ready.
We’re still evaluating SONiC, is this for us?
Yes. Evaluators are a primary audience, the assistant answers "is SONiC ready for my use case?" questions, grounded in real deployment experience rather than marketing claims.
How does it relate to Network Copilot?
Both run on the Aviz Autonomous Agentic Platform. Network Copilot is enterprise agentic NetOps for multi-vendor networks; SONiC AI Assistant applies the same approach to one job, expert SONiC support, delivered as a cloud service.
Launching with our early-access partners
SONiC AI Assistant launches with its early-access partners, and their stories will appear here first. If you run SONiC in production, or are deciding whether to, we want you in the program.
